Come Meet Our New Head Teacher
Families are cordially invited to visit St Georges School, on Tuesday, June 15 from 5:30-7:00 at 912 Rte 146 in Clifton Park to meet the new head teacher that the Vestry and St George’s School Trustees appointed today. In addition to presentations about the unique curriculum, there will be demonstrations of how the students will use the new Apple IPADS in reading, math and science. Tours through the school's four acre outdoor science lab will be available.
A new fall schedule for after-school enrichment K-1 program at St George's School for any Clifton Park K-1 students will be announced. Mini courses will run from 2:30 to 6:00 pm daily. Ms. Sheray Michel was appointed today as the new St George’s School’s Head teacher. A recent Skidmore graduate, she received a Bachelors of Science in Childhood Education and a Bachelors of Arts in Music. Prior to attending Skidmore, she attended Schenectady County Community College where she received an Associates degree in music. During her Skidmore career, she worked with children of various ages including: preschool, first grade, second grade, fifth grade, and fourth grade. She also completed an inner-city internship at New Scotland Elementary School in Albany.
She has been accepted into a highly selective Masters degree program at SUNY Albany.
Sheray plays guitar, piano, and percussion, paints and makes original three dimensional displays. She enjoys applying new teaching technology to learning and will help guide the students through the challenges and opportunities of the tech world including use of the new Apple I pads.
