My two children attended St. George’s Preschool and loved every minute of it. They were more than ready, both academically and socially, for kindergarten upon their graduation. The teachers are warm, caring, enthusiastic, professional, and friendly. It is like an extended family.
Welcome to St. George’s Preschool!
The St. George’s Preschool program provides children of all faiths the opportunity to play with other children of the same age and learn through their play and daily experiences.
Throughout the school day, children will be learning age appropriate readiness skills and self help skills through games, art projects, music, stories, indoor and outdoor play, and field trips.
As part of all of our programs we will be learning a variety of Bible stories through songs, crafts and activities.
A preschool experience is often a child’s first exposure to a school setting. It’s important that this experience gives the children a healthy self concept, independence and an opportunity to comprehend and creatively express his or her ideas. It is also important that this first experience be fun!

Our Programs
As each child is a unique individual, we provide an environment where each child learns at their own pace. We are sensitive to their social, emotional, educational and physical needs. We encourage not just learning, but love of learning through self-directed activities as well as teacher directed activities. Our morning sessions run from 9:00-11:30 am, and our afternoon sessions run from 12:30-3:00 pm.
Our program for Three year olds runs Tuesdays and Thursdays. There is a maximum of 14 students.
We will focus on socialization, helping 3’s to know that it’s okay to be away from Mom and Dad, taking turns, learning to share, and being able to communicate with friends. We will also learn age appropriate readiness skills such as recognizing colors and shapes, counting, cutting, coloring as well as sitting and listening.
Our program for Four year olds run Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. There is a maximum of 16 students.
We will build on the socialization skills learned as three’s as well as learn to cooperate with friends and teachers. Fours will learn to sit and listen for longer periods of time. Readiness skills will be age appropriate - colors and shapes, recognizing and printing their names, sorting objects and making patterns. Our letter program is Handwriting Without Tears , it is a fun way for children to learn letter formation.
Our five day pre-kindergarten program runs Monday through Friday. There is a maximum of 14 students.
Our 5 day program will expand upon the concepts of our 3 day program through extended activities with letters, numbers, science and cooking. Long-term projects such as making theme books will reinforce concepts in different ways. The smaller class size allows us to gear activities towards the unique abilities of the children.
