Jonesville Helping Hands Food Pantry

St. Georges collects shelf-stable food and non-food items which are delivered weekly to this area food pantry. This summer we added a special once a month collection of items the pantry desperately needs that are not covered by Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The July Dragon's Tale tells more!

Bring to the church your donations. They can be dropped off in the small wire grocery cart  inside the main entrance to the church or the cart in Hatlee Hall by the doors to exit to our courtyard.

Special Monthly Collection Plans:
September 3 & 4: Baby wipe & flushable wipes for adults.
October 1 & 2: Feminine hygiene products and incontinence products.
November 5 & 6: Cleaning products

Helping Hands Food Pantry Thanksgiving Distribution

The Helping Hands Food Pantry is already starting to plan our Thanksgiving Distribution. During the first 3 weeks of November, the pantry's clients will be able to ‘shop’ in a separate part of the Food Pantry and choose the foods they need for their Thanksgiving Dinner. The Food Pantry is starting to collect now. Their Thanksing needs are:

Boxed Potatoes
Stuffing Mix
Gravy
Baking Products
Baking Mixes
Canned Sweet Potatoes and Yams
Canned Mushrooms
Pumpkin Pie filling with the spices in it- our clients often don’t have the spices on hand to use the canned pure pumpkin)
